Damage Policy
At Sleek Coffee Tables, we want every order to arrive in excellent condition. Because many of our products are larger furniture items that may ship by freight carrier, it is important to inspect your delivery carefully and report any concerns as soon as possible.
If your item arrives damaged, we will work with you, the supplier, and/or the carrier to help resolve the issue as quickly and professionally as possible.
Inspect Your Delivery
Please inspect your shipment carefully at the time of delivery whenever possible.
Before signing for a freight delivery, look for visible damage to the packaging, carton, crate, pallet, or product. This may include tears, dents, punctures, crushed corners, broken packaging, exposed product, or any other sign that the shipment may have been damaged in transit.
If you notice visible damage, please note the damage with the carrier before signing, whenever possible.
Take Photos
If there is any visible damage to the packaging or product, please take clear photos before moving, unpacking, or discarding anything.
· The outside packaging or carton
· Any damaged areas of the packaging
· Shipping labels
· The product inside the packaging
· Close-up photos of the damaged area
· Wide photos showing the entire item
Photos are important because suppliers and freight carriers often require documentation before a damage claim can be reviewed.
Keep All Packaging
Please keep all original packaging materials until the issue has been fully resolved.
This includes cartons, crates, pallets, foam, wrapping, corner protectors, labels, and any other packing materials included with the shipment.
Do not discard the packaging until we confirm that it is no longer needed. Discarding packaging too early may limit the ability to file or complete a damage claim.
Report Damage Promptly
If your item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.
Damage should be reported within 48 hours of delivery whenever possible. Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos of the packaging and product.
The sooner damage is reported, the better we can assist with documentation, supplier review, carrier claims, replacement parts, repairs, replacement options, or another appropriate resolution.
Concealed Damage
Sometimes damage is not visible until the item is unpacked. This is often called concealed damage.
If you discover concealed damage after delivery, please stop unpacking if possible, keep all packaging, take clear photos, and contact us right away.
Concealed damage should be reported as soon as it is discovered. Delayed reporting may limit the available resolution options.
Do Not Refuse Delivery Without Contacting Us
If your shipment appears damaged, please document the damage and contact us as soon as possible.
In some cases, refusing delivery may be appropriate. In other cases, accepting the shipment with damage noted may help preserve the claim process. Because freight situations can vary, please contact us for guidance whenever possible.
If a delivery is refused without authorization and the item is returned to the supplier or carrier, additional fees may apply.
Resolution Options
Once we receive your damage report and photos, we will review the issue and work with the appropriate supplier, warehouse, or carrier.
Depending on the situation, resolution options may include replacement parts, repair guidance, a replacement item, carrier claim review, supplier review, or another appropriate solution.
Resolution options may vary based on the product, supplier, carrier, damage type, timing of the report, and available inventory.
Damage vs. Warranty
Shipping damage is handled separately from manufacturer warranty coverage.
Delivery damage, freight damage, and transit-related issues must be reported through this Damage Policy. Warranty coverage, when available, generally applies to qualifying manufacturing defects under the supplier’s warranty terms and does not replace the need to report shipping damage promptly.
